How do you feel working with the Fortix team?
I love working for Fortix. I feel we play a huge part in making this organisation better and better, propelling its success. The whole team gives me a lot of pleasure working with them.
Do you feel like you’re making a difference to clients?
Everything I do I know makes a difference. I work very hard in doing so as this is the best opportunity for those who have had little to no true support since being with us. Its great to see residents living a better life and getting the help they need to carry that on.
How do you feel Fortix management supports you?
The management team are approachable and knowledgeable. I have a lot of confidence when I am feel unsure about something, as they always provide me with assistance.
What’s been your most memorable moment working at Fortix so far?
We have resident with us who prior was rough sleeping close to where I live. I spoke with them on the phone and they were so determined to do whatever they could to get a vacancy with us. We now house them and have done so for over 3 months. This was great feeling, seeing them through the whole process.
What motivates you to come to work each day?
As mentioned, the team, the reward from helping residents and the direction the organisation is going.
What do you think makes Fortix different from other places you’ve worked?
This is truly a place that cares about delivering and achieving. If we don’t know, we learn. If we make mistakes, we learn. The result, we grow.
How do you support clients with housing benefits?
I take care of the whole process so they don’t need to worry. The application can be daunting sometimes so we cut that out for them.
How do you work with the council to help clients?
I liaise with councils with ensuring the resident is approved for housing benefit. This requires information being sent to show the necessity of their residency.
